Anzac Day is a National public holiday and is considered one of the most spiritual and solemn days of the year in Australia, the day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

The ceremony will commence at 5.20am with a march from the council library to the war memorial then we move onto the RSL club for breakfast of sausages, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, hash browns, baked beans and toast which will cost $5 per person with children under 12 free.

At 9am a bus will leave the club for the RAAF War Cemetery for the service and then onto the bus for the Main Service at Woodburn commencing at 10am, at the completion it will be back to the RSL Club. The Evans Head street march will commence from the ambulance station at 11am marching down Oak Street then left into Woodburn Street and back to the RSL Club.

Midday will be the official Lunch and All veterans, Ex Service Personnel & Official Guests ONLY are invited to attend at a cost of $5 per person.
